WIC’s mission is to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to healthcare.
WIC serves pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women; infants; and children (up to age 5); who meet income guidelines and medical or nutritional risk.
For breastfeeding mothers:
WIC provides breastfeeding education and assistance. Lactation assistance is available with our Breastfeeding Peer Counselor or Registered Nurse. We also offer a breastfeeding support group from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Mondays in the Jones Conference Room at CareArc.
Prenatal breastfeeding and cooking classes are also available.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
