Bill Bays is a licensed pharmacist at CareArc with over four decades of experience in pharmacy practice, including a strong background in mental health and addiction sciences. He joined CareArc in October 2025, bringing a deep commitment to accessible, community-based care.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas and has been a trusted presence in the Emporia community since 1996. For 28 years, he served as owner and manager of Graves Drug Store, where he helped administer CareArc’s contract pharmacy operations. His long-standing collaboration with CareArc inspired him to join the team directly following the pharmacy’s closure, continuing his mission to serve the community.
With experience across chain, hospital, and independent pharmacy settings, Bill is passionate about helping patients better understand their medications and treatment plans. He believes in a team-based approach to care and encourages patients to stay engaged and informed about their health.
In 2012, Bill received the Cardinal Health Generation Rx Award, recognizing his commitment to safe medication practices and community health education.
Originally from the Kansas City area, Bill now calls Emporia home. He and his wife, Vicki, have been married for 48 years and enjoy spending time with their two grown children and three granddaughters. Outside of work, Bill is an avid musician who enjoys playing guitar and experimenting with electronic music and recording.
