Health Center Welcomes Tamara Black as New Nurse Practitioner

We are excited to welcome Tamara Black to the Flint Hills Community Health Center team as our new Nurse Practitioner.

Tammy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emporia State University. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Wichita State University.

She brings over 33 years of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on family, emergency, and cardiac medicine. She has worked previously at Memorial Health System of Abilene, Emergency Department providing comprehensive care to patients and at Newman Cardiology caring for cardiac patients.

Emporia is Tammy’s hometown, and she is happy to be back. She enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and outdoor adventures, such as black bear hunting in Canada.

Tammy has been looking forward to joining Flint Hills Community Health Center so she can serve the people of her hometown. She said, “FHCHC offers many services to our community, and I am excited to be a healthcare provider in Emporia.”
