Health Center Welcomes New Behavioral Health Therapist

June 25, 2021

We are excited to welcome Viridian Reyes Coria to the Flint Hills Community Health Center team as our new Behavioral Health Therapist.

Viri received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Emporia State University with a minor in Crime and Delinquency Studies. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas.

She brings over 8 years of professional experience in various organizations such as working with adults with developmental disabilities at USD 253 and working with children and adults impacted by domestic violence at SOS. She is bilingual, passionate, and dedicated to serving at risk and vulnerable populations.

Viri was born in Michoacan, Mexico and has lived in Emporia for the last 21 years. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, fishing and just about anything that involves nature.

Viri is excited to join Flint Hills Community Health Center to treat patients in an integrated care environment. She said, “I’m a huge believer in integrated care. That is the best approach to treating patients. It is how they get the best treatment. I’m excited to implement the knowledge and training I received at KU to help our patients.”

To schedule an appointment for therapy with Viri, please call 342-4864 and ask for behavioral health. She will be seeing patients at both FHCHC locations, in Emporia and Eureka. For more information, visit flinthillshealth.org.
