Friends of CareArc Announces Arlene Eichorn Scholarship Recipient

Friends of CareArc is proud to announce Macy Wecker as the recipient of the $1,000 Arlene Eichorn Scholarship, awarded annually to a student who demonstrates dedication, integrity, and a commitment to serving others.

Macy is a 2022 graduate of Olpe High School, where she earned a 3.5 GPA and was consistently recognized on the Honor Roll. She was actively involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Key Club, basketball, volleyball, and track, and received the Perfect Attendance Award—reflecting her reliability and strong work ethic.

Born in Emporia, Kansas, Macy has lived her entire life in Olpe on her parents’ farm. Her family’s roots in the community run deep, with her grandparents having resided in Olpe for more than 60 years.

Macy is currently enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program at Flint Hills Technical College and is anticipated to graduate in May 2026. According to her instructors, she consistently demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a disciplined approach to both learning and patient care.

“What truly distinguishes Macy is her disciplined approach to learning and patient care,” said Rachel Webb, Dental Hygiene Instructor at Flint Hills Technical College. “She a hard worker who remains focused, organized, and motivated, even when faced with the demanding responsibilities of a dental hygiene program.”

The Arlene Eichorn Scholarship honors a legacy of service, perseverance, and commitment to community. Friends of CareArc is honored to support Macy Wecker as she continues her education and prepares for a career in dental hygiene, where she is expected to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
