CareArc to Host Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic on October 3

September 10, 2025

CareArc will host its annual Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic on Friday, October 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the health center, 420 W. 15th Avenue in Emporia. Community members are invited to drive under the west-side canopy to receive their flu vaccine without leaving their vehicle. No appointment is necessary, and the event is open to everyone ages six months and older.

The clinic is designed for fast, convenient access to the seasonal flu vaccine. The standard-dose flu vaccine will be administered at this event. High-dose, nasal spray, and egg-free vaccines will not be available. Individuals with severe egg allergies should consult their primary care provider. COVID-19 vaccinations will not be provided at this clinic.

The flu shot is free with most insurance plans. For those without insurance, the cost is $30, payable by cash or check at the time of service.

Participants are encouraged to wear short sleeves for quick and easy access to the upper arm and to bring a completed consent form for each person receiving a vaccination. Fillable forms are available at carearc.org/forms and will also be available on-site.

“Getting your flu shot every year is a simple step that makes a big difference—not just for your health, but for the health of your loved ones and the whole community,” said McKayla Ortiz, Community Health Nurse at CareArc. “Our drive-thru clinic makes it quick, easy, and accessible for everyone.”
