Arlene Eichorn Scholarship
$1,000 for local students in Licensed Practical Nursing or Dental Hygiene
Each year, the Friends of CareArc award the Arlene Eichorn Scholarship to an outstanding student at Flint Hills Technical College. If you’re studying Licensed Practical Nursing or Dental Hygiene and have ties to Lyon County or the surrounding area, we’d love to hear from you.
Application deadline: January 4, 2027 at 3 p.m.
The $1,000 scholarship is awarded in January.
About Arlene Eichorn
Arlene Eichorn was a beloved CareArc employee. To honor her, the Friends of CareArc created a scholarship fund in her name to support students preparing for careers in health care.
The Friends of CareArc is an independent organization dedicated to charitable work that benefits the health center and its patients through donations of time, talent, and treasure.
Who Can Apply
To be considered, applicants should have:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A connection to Lyon County or the surrounding area
- Current enrollment in the Licensed Practical Nursing or Dental Hygiene program at Flint Hills Technical College
- Good standing in their program, meeting its requirements for progression
- An endorsement from a faculty member in their current program
How to Apply
- Fill out the online application below. It takes about [10] minutes.
- Upload a copy of your grades or transcript from your most recent term.
- Provide a faculty reference. You’ll need a letter of endorsement from a faculty member who teaches in your current program. [Option A: Upload it with your application. / Option B: Enter your faculty member’s name and email, and we’ll contact them directly.]
- Submit by January 4, 2027 at 3 p.m.
Have everything ready before you start. You won’t be able to save a partial application.
